About Us
At Union Chapel, we want you to feel welcomed into a friendly and laid back environment. Our goal is to Love God and Love People. We are not perfect people, but we strive to follow the Lord’s will each and every day. Our hope and prayer is that you would feel a warm welcome, a connection to the people, and most importantly the presence of the Holy Spirit.
About our Pastor
Pastor David Smith, a native Hoosier, grew up in Rockport. Prior to coming to Union Chapel, he served as a youth pastor in Kentucky and Florida. While in Florida, he also taught at a private Christian school and was an associate pastor. Pastor Smith graduated from Western Kentucky University with a degree in History and Social Sciences, then went on to earn his Master of Divinity from Nazarene Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Meghan were married in 2010. Meghan was born and raised in Columbia, Kentucky. Beyond ministry, he is an avid sports fan following Indiana Hoosiers and the St. Louis Cardinals, enjoys great coffee, loves trying new places to eat and being outdoors. Meghan, also a sports fan, roots for Notre Dame and loves running marathons. Meghan is a dental assistant in Terre Haute.
